Unable to read this email? View it online Haslemere Information Hub Dear Supporters You may have wondered what is happening with Haslemere Vision? Well I am pleased to say that, though the Neighbourhood Plan is delayed, we are still very much in business. I will be sending out an update on recent activities and progress shortly. In the meantime, HV is a partner in the Haslemere Community Rail Partnership whose initiative has, amongst other things, resulted in the opening of the Haslemere Information Hub at the station. Managed by Antoinette Francis but otherwise staffed by volunteers, The Information Hub has been set up to welcome visitors who are coming to Haslemere by train and provide them with access to information about Haslemere and the surrounding area. It is open for anyone who wants information about the town, its history, local walks, further afield walks, cycle routes, etc or ‘what’s happening’ in Haslemere. The hub is already open for a couple of hours, 5 days a week (including weekends) but we are seeking more volunteers to help visitors to find the information they seek and help to promote the various events that take place in Haslemere. Any prior local knowledge is indeed a wonderful bonus but not necessary – we would really just like friendly, enthusiastic people to help strengthen the link between the community and those visiting by rail. Anyone interested in being a part of the team and volunteering for just a couple of hours every fortnight or so, or for further information about the hub, please email Antoinette at haslemerevisitor@haslemere.com.
Best wishes to you all Haslemere Vision
