Surrey Hills AONB Boundary Review

Dear Members, 

The Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Boundary Review commenced recently to assess whether the area should be extended. Residents are invited to “Join the Conversation” by sharing their local knowledge and impressions of the landscapes. A large area of Haslemere is included as Evaluation Area 14, including several areas of land designated as Areas of Great Landscape Value (a lesser designation) that were evaluated by Hankinson Duckett in 2013 and proposed as candidate AONB.  This represents a once in a lifetime opportunity. 

The deadline is close (31st January) but submissions can be made quickly and easily by pinpointing a location on the online map, uploading a photograph and adding a comment about what you feel makes the place special in terms of natural beauty.
